Russia points to a Spanish company: How can it attack it?

The Russian Ministry of Defense has marked it as a “military objective” along with eleven other European companies. Everything, to help produce drones for Ukraine. It is about the subsidiary UAV Navigation, of the Oesía Group.

This threat marks a change in tone: Moscow goes from generic warnings to identifying specific objectives on European soil. It is a relevant and disturbing leap. But what does it mean to be on this list? What can these threats be realized?

Until now, Russia has already operated in the context of hybrid warsThat is, cyberattacks, espionage, indirect sabotage, it has even put pressure through other business partners.

A direct attack in Spain—or another European target—seems unlikelyaccording to experts, among other reasons because it would imply a direct attack on NATO. But be careful, this does not eliminate the risk.

Russia has already touched the wolf’s whiskers on more than one occasion. It has crossed NATO airspace several times, interference has been recorded in GPS signals in critical infrastructure and naval movements have been detected in sensitive areas.

Putin’s power should not be underestimated. AND anticipating and preparing is a matter of national and European security: If the limits are not marked, the opponent gets used to exceeding them.
