Apple is renewed – Diario de Yucatán

NEW YORK (EFE).— Yesterday Apple launched the most recent models of its 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro, with the new M5 Pro and M5 Max processors, with which the company seeks to improve performance for professionals and its artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.

It also introduced the MacBook Air with the M5 chip.

According to the technology company, the versions of its new MacBook will be available starting next Wednesday the 11th, although customers will be able to start reserving them today.

“The MacBook Pro with the M5 Pro and M5 Max redefines what you can do with a professional laptop, and is now four times faster than the previous generation,” John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering, was quoted as saying in a statement.

The new MacBook Pro allows you to enjoy capabilities that “no other laptop is capable of,” he said.

“With the M5, the MacBook Air powers a wide variety of tasks, from everyday productivity tasks to creative workflows, and is even faster for AI, now with double the minimum capacity, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 in a design that is as elegant as it is resistant with great autonomy,” Ternus said about the light version.

Along with this launch, Apple also presented the M5 Pro and M5 Max processors, created using the new Fusion architecture developed by the company. These chips house an advanced CPU, a next-generation GPU with Neural Accelerators and greater unified memory bandwidth that “represents a huge increase” in AI computing.

The M5 Pro is designed, according to Apple, to “meet the needs of professional users who require high processing power,” while the M5 Max is designed for those who need “a GPU with maximum performance.”

Along with these launches, Apple also introduced a new generation of its Studio Display monitor and the new Studio Display XDR, which features a 27-inch Retina

In the United States, the MacBook Pro will be available with a price starting at $2,199 (49,999 Mexican pesos), in its 14-inch version with M5 Pro, and from $3,899 (84,999 pesos), in its 16-inch version with M5 Max.

The 13-inch MacBook Air with M5 chip will be sold starting at $1,099 (24,999 pesos) and the 15-inch one, $1,299 (29,999 pesos), with discounts.

The Studio Display will go on sale from $1,599 (34,999 pesos) and the Studio Display XDR, which replaces the Pro Display XDR, will be available from $3,299 (70,999 pesos).

All of these products are now available for pre-sale in the online Apple Store and will officially arrive on Wednesday the 11th in Mexico and the rest of the world, reinforcing the brand’s global distribution strategy.
