
A Hercules plane of the Colombian Air Force (FAC) with 110 soldiers on board crashed this Monday a few minutes after taking off from the Puerto Leguízamo airport, in the department of Putumayo (south), confirmed the Minister of Defense, Pedro Sánchez Suárez, without confirming the number of victims.
“With deep pain I report that a Hercules plane from our @FuerzaAereaCol suffered a tragic accident while taking off from Puerto Leguízamo (Putumayo), when it was transporting troops from the Public Force,” the minister said on his X account.
