They pay tribute to their compassion, commitment, hard work and the positive impact they contribute to communities.

If you know a volunteer, manager of volunteers, volunteer program or employee volunteering program that deserves recognition, nominate them today!

Nominations are open until 28 February 2017.

 

Presented across six key categories:

Volunteer of the Year Award
In honour of a volunteer who through their exemplary volunteering endeavours has contributed significantly to Queensland’s well-being.

Youth Volunteering Award
In celebration of an individual aged up to 25 years who has demonstrated an outstanding voluntary commitment in Queensland and who through their volunteering has positively impacted the lives of others.

Lifetime Contribution to Volunteering Award
In honour of an individual who has made an exemplary life-long contribution to volunteering and who through their volunteering has contributed to the betterment of community in Queensland.

Excellence in Volunteer Management Award
In acknowledgment of an individual salaried or non-salaried manager of volunteers who has demonstrated excellence in the management of volunteers and the delivery of programs by those volunteers.

Volunteering Impact Award
In acknowledgment of a volunteer program or activity that has made a positive, measurable and enduring economic, social, cultural or environmental impact to the Queensland community.

Corporate Volunteering Award
In recognition of a business that has made a positive contribution to the Queensland community through the impact of its employee volunteering program.


Selection panels
Selection panels comprising experienced community, government and business leaders will meet around each category to select the 2017 award recipients.

The awards ceremony
Nominees, finalists and recipients will all be honoured at the 2017 Queensland Volunteering Awards Presentation and official National Volunteer Week launch, 8-14 May 2017. Each award recipient will be presented with a beautiful trophy and certificate and will be profiled through an extensive media campaign.
