The Queensland Greenspace Strategy 2011-2020 is a key tool to help secure and provide better public access to greenspace in Queensland.

The strategy identifies three strategic directions:

Secure more greenspace for public recreation
Improve greenspace outcomes through Queensland’s planning framework
Facilitate better access to state and private land for recreation.
