Blue Card Options Paper released

The Queensland Family and Child Commission (QFCC) has now released an options paper relating to the review of the blue card system. The options paper brings together the QFCC’s initial findings and the feedback received from stakeholders and the community identifying potential options for change.

The QFCC welcomes submissions in response to the options paper.

The closing date for submissions is Friday 31 March 2017. Details regarding how to lodge a submission are outlined in the options paper.

Review of the Foster Care system

Targeted consultation about options for reform relating to the review of the foster care system will commence shortly.

If you have any questions, please email the QFCC at morethansafe@qfcc.qld.gov.au

Why is there a Review?

Why is there a Review?

The Review of the Blue Card and Foster Care Systems was requested in September 2016 by the Premier following the death of Tiahleigh Palmer, a child in foster care. More information including the Terms of Reference which outline the scope of the Review is available on the QFCC website.
