Remote Area First Aid Training
A nationally accredited first aid course
Adventure Training Australia (a Green Frog Adventures company) will be conducting training in Brisbane on Remote Area First Aid.
This is a nationally accredited first aid course and is ideal for participants who might be bush walkers, outdoor and wilderness guides, campers and caravanners and those who live and or work in remote areas.
The course provides broad and comprehensive training in first aid treatments along with patient care, self care, contingency planning and emergency evacuation where possible. It will provide the participant with the ability to have the safety and extended care of an injured or ill patient when help is probably going to be delayed or inaccessible. It will also teach you to be aware of the safety of the first aider.
Units of Competency awarded are:
- HLTAID001 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- HLTAID002 – Provide basic emergency life support
- HLTAID003 – Provide first aid
- HLTAID005 – Provide first aid in remote situations
- HLTAID006 – Provide advanced first aid
- PUAEME004 – Provide emergency care for suspected spinal injury
Courses are restricted to 12 participants only so booking early is essential.
Morning and afternoon tea will be provided however you will be required to bring your own drink bottle and lunch or you can purchase lunch from the RSL restaurant.
Please also wear loose comfortable clothing suitable for bending and crouching.
Certificates will be provided at the completion of the 2 day course.
