In early December QORF is hosting a forum on ‘Outdoor Recreation in the City

Understanding that “outdoor recreation doesn’t just happen in the bush“, we are keen to see what possibilities exist in our urban environments for outdoor recreation. Our plan is to have the many key players in this space gather to share their experiences, to discuss the issues, to identify the opportunities and to see what next steps are needed.

The forum will be hosted by the PCYC  at Carindale on Wednesday, December 13 from 6.00 pm until 9.00 pm. A light supper will be served.

Topics for Discussion

  • What opportunities exist for outdoor recreation that are being utilised?
  • What opportunities exist that are NOT being utilised?
  • What activities are not well represented or need better resourcing / facilities …?
  • What issues face the providers of outdoor recreation in urban environments? In Brisbane?
  • PCYC Carindale Future Developments

The PCYC Carindale is planning a significant outdoor recreation development and there are potential opportunities for activity providers to be involved, both from a planning perspective and as future users of the space.
