Queensland primary schools, kindergartens and early learning services are joining together to celebrate the power of outdoor learning for young minds.

Pledge to take your students outdoors to learn, for at least one class, this Spring.  There’s something for all ages.

It’s easy to get involved!  Free lesson plans and outdoor classroom day resources are available for teachers to ensure a fun filled learning experience.

What is Outdoor Classroom Day QLD?

Outdoor Classroom Day is an international campaign to celebrate the power of outdoor learning and play for young minds; Nature Play QLD is rolling it out across Queensland.

It aims for all children in Queensland to benefit from learning experiences in their local outdoor environments.

Outdoor learning spaces include your school yard, play area, local parks, green spaces, local creeks, lakes or waterways or any other natural area.

Easy to get involved

Teachers, Principals, Educators and Centre Leaders are using Outdoor Classroom Day to trial and develop outdoor learning at their schools and services. Established outdoor learning professionals are using the day to celebrate and promote what they are already doing and to inspire other teachers to join in.  Pledge now!

If you’re a parent, your child’s school, kindergarten or early learning service may want to get involved. Why not share this information with them?

If you work for an organisation that cares about children, nature, education or the environment, contact us about how you can get involved. We’d love to hear from you.

PLEDGE

to be part of the Outdoor Classroom Day QLD!
