What: The FNQ FOOL’s Forum, run on behalf of Outdoor Educator’s Association of Queensland, will include a mixture of practical and discussion sessions and industry updates.
Who: For anyone who works with groups in the outdoors – outdoor education and recreation, guiding & instruction.
Why: To network with other outdoor industry professionals and update on current industry issues.

The forum will include a mixture of practical, discussion sessions and industry updates from Outdoors Queensland & OEAQ and about the AAAS and UPLOADS, Covid-Safe Plans and Practices, Professional Logbooks and Gear Maintenance. Practical sessions will most probably include but not limited to climbing, making outdoor videos, pre– and post-activity participant preparation and learning, ropes courses, wilderness first aid, and other topics as suggested by presenters.
Roping Skills – Abseiling, Climbing & Ropes Courses
1-5pm Friday 27 Nov, 2020, Northern Outlook, Redlynch
Facilitated by Glen Mollenhauer, Australian Climbing Instructor’s Association (ACIA) Assessor, the session will focus on indoor climbing, abseiling and high ropes courses. Topics covered will include equipment, site selection and management issues, anchors and setups, briefing techniques and rescues.
