The Community Resource Unit, Brisbane is bringing Michael Callahan, a world authority on customised employment for people living with disability, to Brisbane for a one day seminar in August.

Whether you’re a parent, employer, educator, employment consultant or anyone else with an interest in real jobs for people with disability, we’d highly recommend attending this important event.

CRU is hosting an international leader in employment Michael Callahan to provide a one day seminar “Employment for All” which is being held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on August 15.

This is a rare opportunity to learn from a renowned world leader about Customised Employment, a strategy that provides persons with disabilities, and indeed other people with significant barriers to employment, with an alternative to traditional, competitive job approaches.

As such, this seminar is suited to family members, supporters, advocates and allies of people with disability, teachers, schools, local councils, government employees and other workers who are interested in real jobs for real pay for people and disabilities.

About the Presenter
Michael Callahan has consulted throughout the US, Canada & Europe in the area of employment and transition for the past thirty five years. His current work focuses primarily on Customized Employment, Discovery and Systematic Instruction and Job Coaching for adults and youth with disabilities. His work includes assisting people to start micro-enterprises.
Michael has worked with Marc Gold & Associates (MG&A) since 1979.

“Simply put, all people can work as long as they have support, well matched job responsibilities and access to the creativity necessary to bring all parties into developing effective solutions”
