Play is the rocket fuel of child development’ (International Real Play Coalition)

Join the dialogue on creating and supporting outdoor spaces and places for children to play and simply be, that increase their physical, intellectual, psychological and social wellbeing. Explore child friendly city design, delivery and considerations.

Keynote presenters include:

  • Natalia Krysiak, architect and Churchill Fellow will discuss her recent study tour across Antwerp, Rotterdam, Tokyo, Singapore, Hongkong, Toronto, Vancouver and London
  • Geoff Woolcock, Senior Research Fellow at the University of Southern Queensland’s Institute for Resilient Regions and Adjunct Associate Professor at Griffith University’s School of Human Services and Social Work and QUT’s Centre for Children’s Health Research. Geoff will provide an overview of where child-friendly cities/communities work is having resonance in Australia.

Special Feature: Neighbourhood Play Project (documentary screening and Q&A)

Presenters are followed by a panel discussion including Angela Wright from Nature Play QLD.

Lunch will be provided, bookings essential.
