Completion of this training course will give you nationally recognised units in the area of Canoe Leader on Open, Flat and Grade 1 Water.

Training Dates:
The training course will take place on 14, 15 & 16 February and will be based at the Tallebudgera OEEC in Palm Beach or the surrounding area.

Assessment Dates:
Participants also need to attend two overnight Assessment Weekends at 2 different locations throughout Northern NSW and Southeast Queensland.

Canoe Assessment 1: 29 February & 1 March 2020 (overnight)
Canoe Assessment 2: 28 & 29 March 2020 (overnight)

There are other Assessment Weekends throughout the year that you could attend if these do not suit.

Assessment Process:
All participants will complete:

  • Precourse work (including online work)
  • A training weekend
  • A major project task
  • And 2 assessment weekends.

Cost:
$2990 to complete the full Cert. 3 in Outdoor Leadership (this is one part of this course)
$1200 for this individual Canoe specialisation.

All training and assessment weekends will run subject to minimum numbers and confirmation will be made two weeks prior to each scheduled session.
