2019 Australian Camps Association National Conference
The Conference theme will be ‘Telling Our Story’
Join us on the Sunshine Coast this June. We have a range of speakers from around the country lined up, including a strong Queensland contingent, covering a range of topics that will be topical, relevant and, importantly, fresh. We haven’t forgotten social time either, with the Conference Dinner shaping up (in the vein of the 2017 Conference) as a perfect way to relax and enjoy each other’s company. We hope to see you there!
The biennial Australian Camps Association National Conference, is to be held in 2019 with a truly innovative and exciting program.
The 2019 Australian Camps Association National Conference will be held this coming June at ACA member site Oaks Oasis Resort in Caloundra on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. Apart from providing fantastic Conference facilities and accommodation, Oaks Oasis is conveniently located close to Sunshine Coast Airport and to a number of ACA member camps – some of whom will be part of the traditional post Conference Camps Tour.
The theme for this year’s Conference is ‘Telling Our Story’. This theme has been chosen to allow us to explore how to better promote the physical, social, emotional and spiritual benefits of the camp experience for groups from all backgrounds, how best to gain from what we have learned from our range of recent research projects and how to turn the media’s interest to our advantage. The speakers and presentations we have lined up promise to be inspiring, perhaps a bit challenging, but – above all – fresh and engaging.
ACA Conferences are also known for community building and social connection, and this year will be no different. We hope you will be able to join us for our Conference Dinner, a great opportunity to chat with sector friends and colleagues over a great meal and a few drinks at the nearby Caloundra RSL.
The dates of this year’s Conference are Thursday 27th to Friday 28th June, with the Camps Tour happening on Saturday 29th, so why not take advantage of the school holidays and stay on to enjoy a bit of Sunshine Coast warmth post Conference?
We look forward to seeing you there.
