Trail Networks in the Toowoomba Region

Trail Networks in the Toowoomba Region

Share your thoughts on the new trails strategy

Posted on 19.07.2016

We’re planning to improve our trails network for everyone. Over the last several months we’ve held workshops across the region, conducted online surveys, forums and storyboards and heard which trails you use, how you use them, what you think is missing and what could be improved.

Gathering this information about our trails has been the first step in establishing a framework (the Trail Networks Strategy) designed to ultimately enhance the experience of using trails; balance environmental values and capacity with the interests of all stakeholders; and formulate a sustainable method to develop and manage trails in the region.

So, we’ve listened to what you’ve told us and developed a draft strategy for the trails in our region. We’d love to hear your thoughts and whether you think we’ve missed anything.

There are four parts to the strategy, including:

  1. Volume 1 – The strategy (draft)
  2. Volume 2 – Background information (draft)
  3. Volume 3 – Existing trail audit (draft)
  4. Volume 4 – Community consultation (draft)

We invite every type of trail user to review the draft strategy, participate in discussion and have a say through either aprivate survey or the public forum.

Share your thoughts about the draft strategy documents for the Trails Network Strategy.

Tell us your favourite feature of the strategy, where we’ve hit the mark or if you think we’ve missed something.
