NEW YORK (EFE).— Yesterday Apple presented the MacBook Neo, a new version of its classic laptop with all the functionalities of a Mac but at a lower price than the rest of the range.
As reported by the technology company, the versions of its new computer will be available starting next Wednesday the 11th, although customers will be able to reserve them from today.
The Neo will have a starting price of $599 (12,999 pesos) and will be available in four colors: cloud pink, indigo, silver and a new citrus color. “It has a rugged aluminum design in four great colors, a stunning Liquid Retina display, the performance of the Apple chip, all-day battery life, a high-quality camera, microphones and speakers, Magic Keyboard, Multi-Touch trackpad and the powerful and intuitive features of macOS,” said John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering.
“There is no other laptop like this,” he added.
The team will have autonomy for the entire day. The MacBook Neo offers up to 16 hours of battery life on a single charge.
In addition to Apple’s Magic Keyboard, it features a large Multi-Touch trackpad, Touch ID, and a 1080p FaceTime HD camera. Likewise, it has the macOS operating system and offers “full” integration with the iPhone.

MacBook Neo is the lowest priced laptop that Apple has created in its entire history.
It is limited in power, similar to that of an iPhone from two years ago, but it is precisely the market with low power demand that it wants to attack.
For the other segments, it offers as options the new MacBook Air with M5, MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and M5 Max, and in tablets you can choose between the new iPad Air with M4, which has great performance.
The new MacBook Neo closes the season of launches and renewals with “cheap” options from Apple, led by the iPhone 17e.
