Starting January 26, 2026, BBVA Mexico will begin an alliance with OpenAI to offer its more than 34 million customers free access for three months to ChatGPT Go, the advanced version of ChatGPT, designed to support everyday decisions beyond the financial sphere.
The project seeks to bring Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities to users to simplify tasks, process information and support personal and professional goals. The initiative is part of BBVA’s strategy to maintain digital innovation and improve the customer experience through cutting-edge technology.
WHAT DOES CHATGPT GO OFFER?
ChatGPT Go is a subscription plan available in Mexico from $110 Mexican pesos. Compared to the free version, it allows:
- Higher message limit
- Image generation
- File upload
- Conversation memory
At the end of the three months, customers who decide to maintain the subscription charged to their card will receive 1,000 BBVA Points as a bonus.

Daniel Ordaz Palacios, general director of Data and Unique Experience of BBVA México, declared:

For his part, Hugo Nájera Alva, general director of Retail Banking, added:
“This alliance brings artificial intelligence closer to people to support everyday decision-making, beyond finances. We want this technology to be useful and close to our clients in their daily lives.”
BACKGROUND OF THE BBVA AND OPENAI COLLABORATION
In 2025, BBVA and OpenAI signed a global agreement to promote innovation based on AI, with the aim of evolving banking operations and improving customer service in all geographies. The collaboration includes conversational assistants, personalized service tools and internal process improvements, facilitating the adoption of AI on a daily basis.
