“We will cut their throats and they will be food for sharks”

“Aggression and occupation will bring nothing but a humiliating capture, dismemberment and disappearance of the aggressors, and American soldiers will be good food for the sharks of the Persian Gulf,” warned Lieutenant Colonel Ebrahim Zolfagari, spokesman for the Khatam al Anbia Central Headquarters, which coordinates the regular Army with the Revolutionary Guard, according to the Tasnim agency.

The military spokesman accused US President Donald Trump of lacking stability and of having dragged his country into a “deadly quagmire,” while maintaining that Washington acts under the influence of Israel in the war against Iran.

Likewise, he assured that US forces in the region have abandoned some of their bases for fear of attacks and have taken refuge in civil and economic areas of neighboring countries, where – as he stated – they are also the target of Iranian operations.

The military man added that Iran has been prepared for a long time for a possible land intervention and warned that it will respond forcefully to any attempt to occupy its territory.

Likewise, the commander of the Northwest Barracks of the Iranian Army, General Amirhosein Shafiei, threatened to “cut the throats” of American troops, in one of the harshest statements since the beginning of the conflict.

“Let the enemy be sure that we sharpen our knives more and more every day and that we will cut the throat of each of their soldiers,” said the senior military official.

Shafiei assured that, since the start of the war 30 days ago, the Iranian Armed Forces have “adjusted their tactics to respond to each attack with forceful actions.”
