The Los Sauces Pontevedra School hosted the Opening Ceremony of the 2017/2018 Academic Year on September 21. An event chaired by the deputy general director of the Institution, José Antonio Rois, who was accompanied by the director of the College, Manuel Casal. In this session, Rafael Bisquerra Alzina, professor of Psychopedagogical Guidance and Director of Postgraduate Studies in Emotional Education and Well-being at the University of Barcelona, who is considered one of the main references of this educational trend in Spain and who spoke about the “Universe of emotions” attended as a guest. Professor Bisquerra directed the implementation of the emotional education program in Los Sauces, a program with the objective of training teachers, students and members of the educational community in general, in socio-emotional skills, such as self-esteem, self-motivation, responsibility, resilience, respect for others, critical thinking, assertiveness, decision making and a positive attitude, among others.
