EU leaders now say they will help reopen the Strait of Hormuz but only “when the conditions are right”

In parallel, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Japan and the United Kingdom have published a joint statement on Hormuz in which they declare “ready to contribute to the efforts necessary to ensure the safety of navigation in the Strait“.
