Our guest speaker at the Outdoors Queensland Awards Dinner will be Troy Szczurkowski who recently completed the Iditarod Trail race in Alaska – a 1,609-kilometer wilderness event by fat bike, foot and ski.
I have a story to tell – one of determination, focus and type 2 fun that is a worthy challenge on many levels – but it’s no virtual reality computer game. It’s the Iditarod Trail Invitational – a very real 1600km human powered ultra-endurance race in Alaska, mid winter. I want to share with you the highs and lows of my third race on the trail in 2017, as well as my plans for racing it again 2018. I hope to inspire and motivate you to dream big and achieve big!
