Forest Learning

A learning process that aims to raise self-awareness and self-esteem in participants

What is Forest learning

Forest Learning is about teaching children using the outdoor environment, the ethos is about promoting confidence, self esteem and independence through small achievable tasks. All sessions are linked to the curriculum, with the emphasis on child-led learning.

While playing in nature children become motivated learners. They are engaged and work with others more effectively. Learning is transferred back into the classroom.

There are a number of Forest Learning opportunities – for adults!

The content of all learning opportunities is linked to the Australian Curriculum, My Time, Our Place and the Early Years Learning Frameworks
