Date: Friday October 28
Time:
9.00 am – 5.00 pm – tea, coffee and lunch will be provided.

Venue: South Bank Brisbane (Find on Google Maps)
The Symposium will be followed in the evening by the Queensland Outdoor Recreation Awards

What is it all about – why should you come?

This is a great opportunity for you, your staff and perhaps more importantly, your Boards or Committee members, to gain some insights into the current trends, issues and opportunities around participation in outdoor activity – both actual and potential.

It will be a day of thought provoking conversation designed to prompt strategic thinking on how to tackle emerging challenges and to maximise future opportunities.

The day will include practical tools and examples of other organisations that have managed to attract diverse and/or targeted participation through careful, considered and informed design.

  • Gain insight into current trends, issues and opportunities
  • Learn how to encourage people to participate across their lifespan
  • Understand the evolving needs, capacities, interests and challenges of participants
  • Gain knowledge and tools to help people ‘Live Life Outdoors’.
  • Develop targeted programming to better connect people with the outdoors

In short, this is a valuable opportunity for you to get ready for the changing face of outdoor recreation!

Spread the Word?

Share, send a link or email the Flyer as a Call to Action and SHARE with your members, staff and mailing list. The more people who know about the symposium, the more ideas we can share, and the more effectively we can address the need to get more people connecting with the outdoors over the course of their lives.
