I am looking for employment as an Outdoor Education programme coordinator or OE Instructor/ Facilitator.

I have significant experience in leadership and young adult education and am passionate in developing and facilitating students, and staff, to gain valuable life experiences to develop holistically as individuals, through a methodology of Outdoor Education.

I have a positive attitude, clear communication skills and am able to work equally well on my own or in a team environment.

I challenge and develop students to own and manage their learning through a balance of technology and traditional values of perseverance and preparation in solving real-life challenges outside the classroom, and challenge and develop students in maintaining a balanced approach to life and health.

    • Biology tutor at Hope Study Project – 1996 (Hope Study was a privately run, NED (National Education Department) registered one-year tutorial programme for students from disadvantaged backgrounds (students are second or third language English and have to write exams in English) who had failed their final year exams.)
    • Led a 300km cycling fundraiser in 1998 for Youth for Christ, from Durban (sea level) to the highest point in Southern Africa (over 3000m).

I am a proven Project Manager and Broadcast/Business specialist, currently re-training and working toward my Diploma in Outdoor Recreation in Brisbane, QLD. I have 30 years’ experience in the outdoors including hiking, camping, rock climbing, kayaking, abseiling, snowboarding and more. Whilst I’m getting my qualifications organised I’m keen to find new roles in the outdoor industry that can utilise my existing project management and business skill set. I have a host of transferable skills, can manage your business, build new installations, negotiate contracts and more besides. I will have my Cert III qualification by Sept 2016 and my Cert IV in 2017.
