Draft Brisbane Off-Road Cycling Strategy

Draft Brisbane Off-Road Cycling Strategy

Have your say!

Posted on 14.12.2020

The draft Brisbane Off-Road Cycling Strategy aims to meet the needs of the rapidly growing off-road cycling community by developing a safe, well-planned and connected network of off-road cycling facilities that protect Brisbane’s natural environment.

The draft strategy keeps the protection of the natural environment as a primary consideration and has involved high level assessment of the environmental values of parks and natural areas to determine suitability for low-impact locations for off-road cycling facilities, such as non-vegetated areas.

Note: Council will not construct off-road cycling facilities in those sections of natural areas and parks that are being cared for by community groups, particularly areas being actively restored.

In 2019 Council undertook community engagement to listen to and gather information, ideas and views to guide the development of the draft Brisbane Off-Road Cycling Strategy. Please take time to read the draft strategy before continuing.

Council now would like your feedback on the draft Brisbane Off-Road Cycling Strategy.

The survey will remain open until 11:59 pm, 28 February 2021.
