Active Clubs Kickstart program extended!

To help support as many Queensland sport and active recreation clubs as possible, we’re extending the deadline to apply for the COVID SAFE Active Clubs Kickstart program to 5 pm, 30 June 2020.

With the very positive response from clubs around the state, we have decided to combine Rounds 1 and 2 into a single round of the program so more clubs can access the funding sooner.

If your club has not yet considered this funding opportunity or your application is not ready, you now have more time to apply.

Eligible not-for-profit local and regional sport and active recreation organisations can receive $2,000 for equipment, training and operational costs including expenses related to utilities, ground and facility maintenance, safety and sanitation.

Organisations that would like to apply for funding must be registered in the Grant Registration Portal and meet the program’s eligibility criteria.

When applying, please:

  • ensure your application is accurate
  • provide a copy of a recent bank statement from your organisation (transaction screenshots or internet banking printouts will not be accepted)
  • make sure the name on the bank account details provided matches the organisation’s legal name.

Please note: correct bank statements must be supplied otherwise applications will be deemed ineligible, if unsure please contact your local Sport and Recreation office.
