Donald Trump has celebrated the entry into force of a ceasefire lasting just over a week in Lebanon as “a historic day.” “Good things are happening!” he proclaimed in a message on Truth Social. In another previous publication he pointed out that the truce eliminates a major obstacle to ending the war with Iran: “Enough of the murders! We must finally have peace!”
At an event in Las Vegas, the US president assured that the conflict with the Islamic Republic is going “wonderfully” and noted that “it should end very soon.”
